Due to regulations implemented by the government, such as lockdowns, and closure of businesses, suppliers in Cebu City are currently struggling in being able to export coconut water. Such product is in demand in the local market, however, the suppliers are aiming to be able to sell them abroad as well due to its health benefits. There are certain certifications and stringent processes that they need to go through first before they can be able to do export, and because of the lockdown, most offices are closed, leading to a delay in being able to complete requirements. Thus, there is also a delay in selling the product internationally.
