According to Agriculture and Food Agency Council of Agriculture in Taiwan, jujube's 2021 season is predicted as the following. Jujube is a tropical evergreen fruit tree. The main producing areas in Taiwan are Tainan, Kaohsiung and Pingtung. The main production period is from December to February of the following year. In recent years, due to the selection and breeding of new varieties, the improvement of management and the generalization of net room cultivation, yield and quality Increased year by year. Furthermore, due to the diversification of varieties, the production period can be extended from late December to early April of the following year.

In year of 2020, due to the conversion of some areas to other crops or abandoned gardens, the area decreased slightly. However, in year of 2020, the climate was stable and the overall growth situation was good, and there was still an increase in output relative to normal years. It is estimated that 1,790 hectares are harvested in 2021, a decrease of 3% from 1,841 hectares in 2020, and a decrease of 5% from 1,884 hectares in the normal year; the yield in 2021 is estimated to be 33,168 metric tons, an increase of 3% from 32,248 metric tons in 2020, and 31,390 compared to the normal year. Production of metric tons increased by 6%.
