Grape farmers in the Dodoma region of Tanzania are facing the market challenge of over ripe grapes after the main grape storage facility reached its capacity amidst the peak grape production season. It has been reported that more than 5,000MT of ready-to-harvest grapes are likely to spoil after buyers stopped buying in W33. The government is searching for alternative buyers for grapes within the country and at the same time looking at building grape juice collection centers to offer temporary relief during the peak production season which is often associated with market challenges.
