The Tanzanian Ministry of Agriculture has issued the monthly maize wholesale prices for the month of December. The average wholesale price of maize significantly increased by 97.2% YoY in December 2022 and by 55.6% compared to the five-year average. Additionally, the average wholesale maize price increased by 3.1% MoM in December 2022, to USD 47.78/100kg bag from USD 46.33/100kg bag in November 2022.
