The trade ministry has already taken various initiatives to import commodities that are expected to be in great demand during Ramadan 2022. During Ramadan, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) aims to offer edible oil, sugar, pulses, onions and dates at subsidized costs to the 35 lakh low-income families that got cash support from the government following the Covid epidemic. According to a preliminary resolution taken at a meeting on 9 February 2022, the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will supply the commodities, which will reach the beneficiaries through local administrations. In addition, TCB is planning to improve product delivery during Ramadan.

Currently, the corporation's 450 trucks are selling a variety of daily necessities such as oil, sugar, onions, and pulses at inexpensive costs around the country. During the next Ramadan, the state-owned firm expects to increase the number of trucks to 700.
