Railroad access to the Santa Fe complex in Timbúes, a work that will benefit six provinces in northern Argentina (Jujuy, Salta, Tucumán, Santiago del Estero, Chaco, and Santa Fe), was formally enabled after static tests and rail movement on the Carcarañá river bridge. This will allow the Belgrano Cargas railway formations to enter these Santa Fe ports directly, generating logistical savings of up to 30%. The project will provide a solution to the rail access network to the port area, which today is a bottleneck and a critical point for the exit of regional production to the world. In addition, it will allow tripling the cargo transported on trains to the ports of the Gran Rosario, since it will go from unloading two 45-wagon trains to four of between 60 and 100 wagons per day.
Now all that remains is to complete the work with the construction of private detours with dynamic discharge in the port terminals.
