Retail Activity of Fresh Chilean Atlantic Salmon in W8

The average retail price and promotions are higher for fresh salmon heading into ash Wednesday. The retail feature activity for the fresh Atlantic salmon boneless fillets shows that its average price in stores has been on an upward trend over the last two years, from USD 7.64/lb in 2021 to USD 9.41/lb in January 2023. The fresh Chilean salmon fillet market has been steady since the beginning of 2023, and as of W8, the market is 16.4% higher than at the beginning of the year.
