According to one of the steaming house conferences, the first mango exports from Taiwan will begin on May 13, 2023. The steam cost will be subject to USD 1.45/kg each. Inspectors from Japan and Korea will arrive in Taiwan on May 1, 2023 to certify the qualified steaming facilities. Moreover, the Taiwanese government will arrange a preliminary meeting with foreign inspectors to talk about what they should be cautious about mango in 2023.
