The most exported fresh fruit and vegetable products in Turkey are tangerines, tomatoes, lemons, grapes, and peppers

According to the data of the Mediterranean Exporters' Association, fresh fruit and vegetable exports, which amounted to USD 2 billion 729 million in 2020, increased by 13% in 2021 to USD 3 billion 83 million.

In 2021, USD 1 billion 252 million of fruit, USD 875 million 713 thousand of vegetables, and USD 934 million 891 thousand of citrus fruits were exported. The rest of the export came from tea exports. In terms of fresh fruits and vegetables, the 5 most exported products in 2021 were tangerines, tomatoes, lemons, grapes, and peppers. The exports of the 5 products provided a foreign exchange inflow of USD 1 billion 515 million and constituted 49.14% of the total exports.

Potatoes were the product that recorded the highest increase in exports in 2021. Potato export, which was USD 22 million 643 thousand dollars in 2020, reached 47 million 919 thousand dollars in 2021, increasing approximately 112 percent.
