23 May is the first day of the black halibut fishing season in Norway. The fishing is done in two seasons. The first season starts on 23 May until the quota of 5,200 MT is taken. The second fishing starts on 8 August and is 2,200 MT. The total quota is 300 MT less than in 2021. Everyone is expecting the prices to increase as everything else has in 2021. No prices are set yet, but indications are 40-50 % higher than 2021.
