The Philippines is providing an exemption on value-added tax (VAT) to registered exporters. Exporters engaging in manufacturing, assembling, or processing activities that lead to the direct exportation of manufactured or processed products may enjoy this benefit for a maximum 17 years. Coconut processors welcome this move to help further increase their price competitiveness.
