The tapioca starch product in the domestic market in Indonesia continues the price uptrend. Currently, the price in the domestic market is already above USD 0.56 per kg. This price uptrend is due to a shortage of supply to the market due to a shortage of raw materials from the plantation. Almost 100% of the supply is from the traditional farmer or plantation. There is no big or corporate tapioca plantation in the country. It is estimated that this raw materials shortage will continue until April or May. For now, manufacturers are prioritizing to serve the local demand rather than for the export market.
