To solve the limitation of land available to be used in the production of cassava in Tasikmalaya regency in West Java province, the local farmers have been trying to plant their crops using PP bags as the cultivation media. Using this method, the cassava seed can be planted inside of the bags that have filled with a mixture of soil, organic fertilizer, and dolomite. With this method, the farmers would be able to arrange their crops vertically, instead of horizontally, hence can use even the smallest area of land to do it. Also, based on the first batch of crops that were planted using this method before, the crops can be harvested relatively quickly at around 6-8 months.
