The cherry is being traded at high prices in France

The cherry season in France starts in May and finishes in July. Thus, the cherries are imported from Latin American countries, namely Argentina and Chile, and the supply is limited during the winter season.

The cherry is being traded at very high prices. The price in WK 1 was EUR 20 per kg (without VAT).
