The Storm in the Black Sea Increased Bonito and Anchovy Prices in Turkey

Due to a storm in the Black Sea, Turkish fishing boats could not sail, which had a negative impact on the prices of bonito and anchovy. Bonito fish, which was sold between USD 1.86-2.39/kg (TL 35-45) in W4, doubled in price to USD 3.72-4.78/kg (TL 70-90) in W5. Anchovy caught off the coast of Trabzon is selling this season for USD 4.78/kg (TL 90) due to low supply. Fishing boats continue to wait for the storm in the Black Sea to subside in order to sail again.
