The volume of Hass avocados arriving in Europe in W25 has declined to around 3.2 million boxes (11.3 kilograms per box) compared to the previous week. Peruvian shipments are slightly increasing but remain 40% below the averages for W24 arrivals. South African shipments are also decreasing, as 50% of their crop has been already harvested, resulting in less volume. Kenyan avocado quality remains a concern for a significant portion of deliveries. The market has low volumes from Colombia and a few containers from Brazil. Demand for quality fruit remains strong, increasing prices across all sizes. However, the market is also seeing a lot of poor-quality lots, which disrupt retail prices, but demand in the spot market remains high.
