Turkey has recently lowered the import tax on some agricultural products such as rice, wheat, oat, and barley to zero to ensure supply availability in the domestic market. However, oat importers from Turkey report that despite the decision, some customs are still trying to apply previous import tax rates on oat imports, creating a cost uncertainty for oat importers and preventing their imports.
