Turkey's 2022/23 pomegranate harvest is coming to an end with a 30% lower yield than in the 2021/22 season due to cold weather in March 2022. Although the yield decreased, the fruit colour is better and there are fewer larger sizes, with the majority being medium sizes. In October, pomegranate exports were lower due to low demand and high prices from rising input costs, which caused the pomegranate price in the field to double from USD 0.19-0.21/kg in 2021 to USD 0.38-0.43/kg in 2022.
