Brazilians might eat fewer apricots in the next year-end season. The high prices of apricots in Turkey, the main supplier to Brazil, drove away many importers. With prices soaring approximately by 60% from August, many buyers turned to alternative products such as raisins, prunes, and nuts. Also, they are keeping their current apricot stocks by avoiding participation in large food industry tenders.
