Turkish Pistachio exports increased by 76% compared to the previous year

In 2020, USD 118 million 923 thousand pistachio exports were made. In 2021, exports exceeded the previous year's figures by 76% and reached USD 209 million 686 thousand. Last year, 20,332 MT of pistachios were exported to 110 countries, including Italy, Germany, China, Canada, Portugal, Malaysia, Malta, Taiwan, Morocco, Japan, Moldova, the United Kingdom, Cuba, and Russia.

Italy is one of the countries that Turkey exports the most pistachios to. Last year, USD 50 million 74 thousand pistachios were exported to Italy. Germany followed Italy with USD 33 million 627 thousand and the People's Republic of China with USD 12 million 839 thousand. With the increase in production in 2022 of our pistachio, which differs from other regions in the world and is in demand due to its special taste and aroma, there will also be an increase in our export figures.
