Ugandan coffee sales for December, 2022 was 418,829 60kg bags valued at USD 59.54M. Robusta was the most traded variety at 331,476 bags worth USD 40.55M, while Arabica was 87,353 bags valued at USD 18.99M. This was a decrease of 22% and 21% in total volume and value respectively, compared to the same period in 2021. The decrease is mainly attributed to lower yields in 2022, caused by prolonged drought in major coffee producing regions for most of the year.
