The majority of American commercial fig production occurs California with minor production also coming out of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida. The United States is the largest fig producer outside of the Middle East and North Africa. Californian figs are in season from April through December, while Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina have shorter seasons stemming from July through September.
