Russian Fish Transiting via China to the EU Faces Loss of Preferential Tariffs and Shift to Standard Duty Rates

The Russian fish that enters the European Union (EU) through China will still be considered of Russian origin. However, it would lose its preferential tariffs and become subject to standard duty rates of 13.7%. This change also extends to Russian and Belarusian fish entering the European market through Chinese factories.
