Antalya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry:
Turkey has approximately 360K/ha of greenhouse land with production in specific fruits; tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and zuchhini. 40% of the greenhouse agricultural lands are in Turkey province. In this sense, as of 2021, we are in the first place in Turkey with a plant production value of USD 1.32B.

Recently, there has been an increase in commodity prices in the world, and this increase is also reflected in vegetable prices. Due to the developments in the world, the prices of vegetable products were high as in other products. One of the factors affecting them was that we had a cold winter and the ripening of the products was delayed. Therefore, when the maturation of the products was delayed, the prices of the products increased a little due to the supply.

The weather is getting warmer, so the harvest has intensified in production areas, and there will be decreases in product prices. In the last 20 years, Antalya's vegetable production has increased by 85%. 2,800K/mt of tomatoes are produced annually in Antalya. 2% of tomato production in Turkey and 60% of greenhouse tomato production are produced in Antalya. In addition, pepper production is approximately 500 thousand tons, eggplant production is 500K/mt. Antalya is in the first place in Turkey in the production of many vegetables with its producers using the latest technology.
