The total production of Alaska-origin J-cut pollock was 20% more compared to Russia-origin J-cut pollock after processing (skinless and boneless fillets) due to the quality. According to processors, the average yield of Alaska-origin pollocks ranged from 60% to 65%, which was about 20% higher than the yield of Russia-origin pollocks, which ranged from 40% to 45%.
