Turmeric exports from India showed a pronounced deterioration since 2018. The pace of decline appeared the most rapid in 2019 and extended to 2020 majorly affected by lessened demand from the United States by 23.66% against the previous year. December 2020 traded value data of turmeric from India in total exposed a decline compared to the same period in 2019 although exports to most of the top importers appeared to grow.
