2020 Ginger Imports Overview: Japan

Ginger imports in Japan grew more than 60% in 2020 compared to that of 2019, as the world consumption for ginger grew altogether. Taiwan showed the most rapid growth in the Japanese market for the last 3 years while the country became Taiwan's foremost export destination. The growing demand from Japan can be both a momentum and threat for Taiwan to find growth in its exports as the country is only reliant on the single market yet.
