Coconut oil is priced at 2.64 USD/KG in Kasaragod, 2.36 USD/KG in Kannur, and 2.83 USD/KG in Malappuram. Prices are getting decreasing towards the second half of the year in Kasaragod and Kannur but clearly strengthen in Malappuram. Insignificant changes in the domestic demand led to lower prices in some markets but also offered higher prices in others. Meanwhile, India hit an all-time high by exporting 29.3M USD of coconut oil in 2020, due to the increased demand from middle eastern countries.
