High Production of Peruvian Ginger Result in Dropped Price and Export Value

Peruvian ginger price fell by -31.32% YoY to USD 0.58/kg in W2 May-22. Increased plantation resulted in a high supply of Peruvian ginger and push the price on a downward trend in 2022. It affected the Peruvian ginger export value decreased by -20% YoY to USD 19 million and increased export volume by +54% YoY to 14,973 tons in Q1-2022.
