China Decreases Thai Mango as Pakistani Boosts Their Imports

The wholesale price index of mangoes in China and Pakistan increased at +34.7% WoW and +23.1% WoW respectively while Thailand's price index fell at -8.6% WoW. China’s production of mango could not fulfill domestic needs so China had to import mangoes. Thailand is the main leading importer of mango in China struggled with limited packaging problems affecting its import and forced to sell at low price in the domestic market. On the other hand, Pakistan’s mango seasonality coincides with China’s off-season lead Pakistan increased its import to 989% YoY.
