Passionfruit Prices Began to Rise towards September

Peru is the leading exporter of passionfruit in the world. In 2020, the country recorded to increase production by more than 24% and its export reached 42.2M USD. Peruvian supply is mainly exported in concentrated juice. The price in Lima even reached +26.48% YoY. Although the price is low at the beginning of the year until July, its value began to strengthen as it entered September. In the first week of the month, it has reached 0.41 USD per KG. The actual season for Peruvian passionfruit is from mid-summer and mid-winter.
