Price Swing for the Pineapple Market

Pineapple prices in Spain are quite varied as observed in Catalonia region which actually decreased by -19.77% YoY and selling prices of pineapples reached 0.90 USD/KG, while the gold variety produced in Las Palmas increased by +29.79% YoY thus raising the price to 5.36 USD/KG by the end of November. As for the US, pineapples are sold at lower prices at 12 USD/ Carton 1 layer in early December 2021. Back in 2020, Spain and the US were exporting less pineapple in 2020 but importing more from Costa Rica.
