Russia Increases Import of Egyptian Potato Hikes Up The Price

The wholesale price of potatoes in Egypt escalated by +87.66% YoY. Egyptian potato sold at USD 0.21 per kg in W4 Dec 2021, which was USD 0.11 per kg in 2020. Russia imported Egyptian potatoes increased due to satisfy the domestic demand. On the other hand, the increased cost of farming and less supply of potatoes in Egypt resulted in the price increase in December 2021.
