Production Expected to Rise in August, Refined Sunflower Oil Price Still High

The farmgate price of refined sunflower oil in Russia rose +50.67% YoY to 1.25 USD/pound in W5 September 2021. Meanwhile, the wholesale price of sunflower seed also rose +47.61% to 1.69 USD/KG in the same period. Last year, the export value of refined sunflower oil rose along with high demand from the importing countries. This year's high production in August opens up more refined sunflower oil exports to importing countries which could affect price declines.
