Brazilian sugar price increased by +48% YoY to USD 0.71/kg in W1 May-22. While Indian sugar price rose by +4.6% YoY to USD 0.46/kg in W1 May-22. Drought experienced on Brazilian coffee crops led to lesser supply resulting in a price increase. While India as the alternative market has robust sugar export because the Indian sugar price is more attractive than Brazilian.
