Moroccan Blueberry Export Recovery in December 2020

Blueberry exports from Morocco were consistently high performers at the end of 2020 after experiencing a decline around the same period. In Morocco, prices have fallen to their lowest level since early 2020, this might affect the level of exports that can be shipped to foreign buyers. The price only recovered when entering the year-end quarter as seen in the unit price value to Spain which reached its highest point at 9 USD per KG in December 2020. When prices recovered in December, its exports to Spain also increased by a total value of 6.9M USD which was only around 4.7M USD around the same period last year. As the prices had decline in May, Moroccan exports to Spain recorded to fell as well despite the value is still higher compared to other months.
