Price-In-Charts: Pork Prices Soar in Canada with Swine Fever in China

Apart from the impact of Covid-19, the wholesale price of pork in Canada is increased after the outbreak of African swine fever occured again in China, which rose as the big importer. The pork price in Canadian wholesale market in April increased by +111.48% for pork belly and +93.11% for ribs. The pork belly market shows more fluctuation than the spare ribs, showing a significant gap. The price gap started to widen since the beginning of the 2021, while the ribs have started to show an upward trend since entering February.
