Prices of Peruvian Asparagus in the US Fall by 22% MoM due to Early Mexican Production

On October 22, white asparagus price in the US market took a considerable downward turn of 22% MoM to USD 7.31/kg. Respectively, the green asparagus price recorded a 21% WoW decrease on W43 when it stood at USD 4.59/kg. The decrease is due to an oversupply caused by an early Mexican season while Peruvian production is still in the market.
