Despite 8th years running, the US is still the country that dominates the walnut import market in Japan. The country actively exports walnuts throughout the year, making its total export value increase more than 14% YoY. China is no longer exporting sizable volume of walnuts in Japan while their value fell singificantly compared to that of 2012. New suppliers such as Chile and Australia entered into Japanese market but their exports have decreased only to a small amount in recent years.
