Thailand rise as a major buyer of sea urchin

Japan is the second-largest exporter of sea urchin in the world and it is the sole supplier of sea urchin to Thailand from 2015 to 2020. The volume of Japanese sea urchin to Thailand has been gradually increasing over the past years, reaching its peak of 3.44M USD. This could indicate that the consumption of sea urchin has been gaining popularity in Thailand.
