China took over Turkey's domestic garlic market

World garlic exports from China have stagnated as several major importers such as Indonesia and Vietnam began to reduce their imports in 2020, but the rest still showed a significant increase in demand including from Malaysia, Brazil, and Pakistan. The upward trend also hit the Turkish market as the country consumes more garlic from China and the demand increased sharply to more than 21M USD in 2020. In the past year, Turkey has established China as the main exporter of garlic to the country.
