Turkish Wheat Prices Rise amid Lower Supplies

Turkish farmgate wheat prices reached USD 0.36/kg at the end of W5 March 2022, representing a 44.29% increase compared to the same week a year ago. Lower domestic production in 2021 was one of the reasons for the price rise. The weakening lira versus the USD has also made wheat imports more expensive.
