Low Demand, Low Import Volume of Macadamia Nuts to the US

The import price of macadamia nuts to the US fell slightly to 6.50 USD/pound in June 2021. The price was lower than the 2020 price in the same period which reached 7.48 USD/pound. The decline in import prices, however, was not accompanied by an increase in the imports volume to the US. The import volume of macadamia nuts was still lower than the import volume of the previous year. The low demand may be a factor causing the low imports of macadamia nuts this year.
