Imported nectarine prices fell to 0.53 USD per pound in February 2021, the lowest nectarine price so far this year. Prior to the beginning of the year, the price of nectarines had spiked to reach 1.42 USD per pound in October 2019. The total value of nectarine imports to the US also shrank from February to May 2021 after a sharp spike around January. Chile is the largest nectarine supplier to the US, which is also supplying more intensively in 2020. The price of nectarines in the Chilean domestic market is also likely to rise as entering April 2021.
