The import price of prepared or preserved olives to the US fell to 1.47 USD/pound in July 2021. The low import price coincided with increased import volumes. Import volume reached its highest level of 27.84M pounds in June 2021. The increase in import volume this year which was larger than the previous year indicated a recovery in imports since the tariffs were imposed in the US in 2018. Meanwhile, the prices on the Spanish domestic market show a constant rate from January to September 2021.
