The US peach season has recently started in the US with a considerable increase in prices when compared to last season. This year's season starting price on the 4th of July stood at USD 3/kg, a 17% YoY increase from last year's USD 2.56/kg. The higher price is due to the rising costs of this year's agricultural inputs, and labor shortages. Prices are expected to keep increasing as the season proceeds due to the expected 20% drop in production volume this season.
