Onion imports to Vietnam are down due to the less supplies from China

Published 2021년 6월 17일
2019 was the best year for China in exporting onions globally. The same thing happened with its exports to Vietnam which reached their peak in the same year. However, by 2020 the total exports from China to Vietnam decreased to around 240M USD; a difference of 44M USD from last year's value. Not only China, but Vietnam has also reduced imports from India. The value of exports from China has continued to decline as half of the Asian importers have lowered their demand in recent years. Massive declines were seen from Vietnam and Japan, while at the same time Thailand, the Philippines, and South Korea actually increased imports significantly.
