Volatile price of Apple markets in United States and Russia

The domestic wholesale price of Red Delicious apples in the United States has increased in May W4 2021 compared to the same period last year. On the contrary, the price of Granny Smith Apples in Russia has plummeted to lower levels during this period. The YoY price increase of Red Delicious apple in the US is 25%, from 1.80 USD per kilogram in May W5 2020 to 2.25 USD per kilogram in May W4 2021. On the other hand, the YoY price drop of the Granny Smith apple in Russia is 29.79%, from 1.16 USD per kilogram in May W5 2020 to 0.81 USD per kilogram in May W4 2021.
