A prolonged period of rainfall in Argentina throughout January and March could hold prices above last year's threshold. However, once the rainfall was lower than normal conditions throughout April to July 2021, this would greatly affected the pace of domestic market prices whose also briefly touched below normal ranges. In contrast to the decline prices in Argentina, the Chinese market actually sells the commodity at a higher price. YoY price changes increased by more than 70%, a widening gap seen from March to July along with a surplus of rain that came just after entering May with a percentage of 118% in the second decade of the period.
