The United States is the largest producer and consumer of blueberries in the world.

The country is home to hundreds of varieties and offers year-round availability for the domestic market and a long export season from April through September, peaking June through August. The most popular varieties for international buyers include: Aurora, Duke, Draper, Emerald, Legacy, Liberty, Rocio, and Star.
Blueberries grow in nearly every state, but the majority of commercial production is concentrated in California, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon and Washington.

It is more common for West Coast states (California, Oregon, Washington) to export to Asia as suppliers operate accredited facilities and for East Coast states to ship to Europe.
